How to get your Netherlands Student Visa
A step-by-step guide to the Dutch student visa (MVV + residence permit). Leverage Edu guides you through every step.

Receive University Offer
Get an unconditional offer letter from a recognised Dutch institution.
- 02
University Initiates MVV + VVR Application
Your university applies for both the MVV (entry visa) and VVR (residence permit) on your behalf through the IND under the TEV procedure.
- 03
Collect MVV from Embassy
Once approved, collect your MVV sticker from the Dutch embassy or consulate in India.

Travel to the Netherlands
Arrive in the Netherlands before your MVV expiry date.

Register and Collect Residence Permit
Complete your TB test (mandatory for Indian students), register at the municipality, and collect your residence permit (VVR) from the IND.
