How to get your US Student Visa

A step-by-step guide to the F-1 Student Visa for studying in the United States.

    Receive University Admission (I-20)

    Get accepted and receive your Form I-20 from a SEVP-certified US institution.

  2. 02

    Pay the SEVIS Fee

    Pay the I-901 SEVIS fee ($350) online before your visa interview.

  3. 03

    Complete DS-160 Form Online

    Fill the Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application (DS-160) and upload your photo.

  4. 04

    Schedule & Attend Visa Interview

    Book your interview at the nearest US Embassy/Consulate and bring all required documents.

  5. 05

    Await Visa Decision

    Processing typically takes 3–5 business days after the interview.

    Travel to the USA
